monday giveaway: boots review and giveaway (NOW CLOSED)

My grandmother is British. She actually still refers to Britain as "home" even though she has lived in America longer than I have even been alive. Whenever she would go "home" she would bring back a bunch of Boots products to use and would rave about them. And although my grandmother is eighty, she has great skin. So you pretty much have to take her advice. When Target started carrying Boots products, I was ecstatic. I called her right away to let her know she wouldn't have to carry all these products back to the US every time she traveled.

I have been using Boots Expert Sensitive Gentle Cleansing Wash for awhile now and I have told many people about it. So I contacted Boots to see if they would want to give away the wash to my readers and, boy, did they deliver. They not only sent me some wash to review but a whole lot of other stuff too.
Expert Sensitive Gentle Wash: I got this on a whim because it was on sale. I was so glad I did. It is a foaming wash and it feels like I am washing my face with a soft fabric. And my face doesn't feel tight and dry after I use it.
Expert Sensitive Gentle Refreshing Toner: Finally, a toner that doesn't make my skin feel so dry afterwards! And there is no stinging sensation. I stopped using toner after I washed my face because it always felt like it was drying it out. I am definitely going to use this toner in my routine.
Expert Sensitive Gentle Smoothing Scrub (not pictured): This is very gentle on your skin. I could use a bit more "scrubiness" on my skin but for those of you with sensitive skin, this would be perfect. Although, this is also one of those scrubs that I don't have to worry about using everyday (since most scrubs you are not supposed to use daily.)
Expert Sensitive Cleansing and Toning Wipes: I always have trouble getting my eye make-up off without getting stuff in my eye. So normally, it just doesn't all get taken off which I am sure is terrible for my skin. Since these wipes weren't super wet, I just wiped them over my eyes to remove my make-up and it got all of it off. No stinging required.
Expert Sensitive Gentle Hydrating Moisturizer: I decided to use this in the morning instead of my regular moisturizer I use before I put my make-up on. I really love how it helped my winter-abused skin. It keeps my skin hydrated throughout the day. My only complaint is that it doesn't have SPF.
Expert Sensitive Intensive Serum: I decided to use this at night instead of the normal moisture product I use. I can't say that it is any better than what I normally use (which gives a lot of moisture without being greasy) but the price tag is MUCH better. I may switch to this purely for helping my budget and I won't have to sacrifice quality.
Expert Anti-Blemish 2 in 1 Scrub and Mask: I don't normally have that much trouble with blemishes but I do have a little trouble near my nose. I "spot scrubbed" in those areas a few times this past week and I did see somewhat of an improvement.
Protect & Perfect Beauty Serums: They sent me both the normal and intense serum. I haven't tried the intense yet but I did use the regular one around my eyes at night. I have noticed that although it hasn't really reduced my wrinkles yet, it as made the area around my eyes softer and less dry looking. I am excited to see what happens after a few weeks since it is a Good Housekeeping award winner.

Boots will be giving away all the products above to one very lucky winner! You will have fabulous skin before you know it! This giveaway is only open to US residents since it is through Boots USA.

  10. I just bought the 2 in 1 scrub/mask and I have high hopes for it! I've tried everything for my post birth control acne and nothing has worked. 95% of the reviews I've read on this product have been positive and I'll post another comment in a week to let you know how it's working. FYI I'm using it in conjunction with the Anti-blemish Foaming Cleanser and the Anti-blemish night time moisturizer. Wish me luck!
