Remember that post I did in September about autumn inspired Etsy finds? Well, I featured some wooden buttons from The Hickory Tree and now she wants to giveaway some buttons to one of my fine readers!
Linda, the owner of this Etsy shop points out that her inspiration comes from nature. She says, "I like to create unique, eco-friendly items out of tree branches including Tree Branch buttons, Wooden Gift Tags, and Rustic Wedding Decor such as Rustic Wooden Place Card Holders. My items are geared towards the fiber artist, crochet and knitting artists, brides looking for rustic and eco-friendly wedding decor, as well as those looking for unique embellishments for their own beautiful, sewn creations. My raw material is always taken from fallen trees found on the forest floor, rescued from the neighborhood wood drop off site or found along my country road after a storm." Great job, Linda, on being finding unique ways to create beautiful items while still be eco-friendly!
The giveaway consists of 21 Tree Branch Buttons made up of various Northern Michigan Woods including Maple, White Oak, Red Cedar, Northern Cedar, Sweet Apple, Red Pine, and Black Walnut. I think these would be great to use for non-traditional, rustic Valentine's Day cards or just some homemade cards, in general. I am thinking about knitting a scarf and putting some of her buttons on one of the ends so I can turn it into an infinity scarf if I want.
